Nuria Oliver: "We need to build Artificial Intelligence that respects human rights, and that is diverse, inclusive and sustainable"
We interviewed Nuria Oliver, Founder of ELLIS Alicante, to address the need for Artificial Intelligence to help us tackle the great challenges of the 21st century.
On November 29, within the framework of the Demos forum –which is the main annual meeting of the sector of foundations and civil society, the sixth edition of the Awards of the Spanish Association of Foundations (AEF) took place. In the category of Social Innovation, the award went to ELLIS Alicante, whose objective is to carry out scientific research of excellence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for social good, to train young research talent, and to perform scientific and technological outreach and thought leadership actions worldwide. The prize was collected by its Founder, Nuria Oliver, with whom we had the opportunity to talk after the ceremony. This is the interview she gave to Corresponsables.
