Abstract

This Student Talk offers research insights on the impact of large-scale economic shifts on labor markets, emphasizing youth employment, sustainability, and high-tech growth. The presentation analyzes the macroeconomic, institutional, and structural determinants of labor market outcomes in Europe, referencing two peer-reviewed articles: “Factors Affecting Youth Unemployment: Empirical Assessment in the European Union Countries” and “The Impact of the Green Transition on the Labor Market in the EU27 and the Baltic States.” The discourse goes beyond Europe by including the presenter’s current master’s study on “The Asian Tiger economies’ impact and role to the establishment and development of global high-tech and innovation market.” This work examines the contributions of South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong to the worldwide proliferation of high-tech sectors and innovation ecosystems, as well as the impact of their growth strategies on employment structures and technological dissemination.
