4th Edition Science Outreach Day for Students to Inspire Scientific Careers
Our 4th Edition Science Outreach Day for Students to Inspire Scientific Careers takes place in March 16th at 11.30 at the Paraninfo of the University of Alicante (UA).
The outreach event is carried out within the framework of the collaboration between ELLIS Alicante, the Gestamp Foundation and the Banco Sabadell Foundation, aimed at promoting scientific and technological outreach among students. It also has the support of Raúl Ruiz Callado, Vice-Rector for Students and Employment at the University of Alicante.
The event will be inaugurated by María Jesús Pastor Llorca, Vicerrectorado de Transferencia, Emprendimiento y Divulgación Científica and by Juan José Cortés Vélez, Director General for Innovation at the Conselleria de Industria, Turismo, Innovación y Comercio, who will welcome the participating schools and officially open the session.
This annual event is designed for secondary school students and teachers from across the region. Throughout the session, Dr Nuria Oliver and members of our team will share their professional journeys, personal motivations, and some of the AI research projects they are working on. The goal is to help students see how many different academic paths can lead into the world of Artificial Intelligence.
At its core, this initiative aims to spark curiosity in STEM careers, make Artificial Intelligence more accessible, and highlight its potential as a force for Social Good.
