JUDGMENT OF THE JURY

The jury of the Rei Jaume I Prize for New Technologies gathered in Valencia has unanimously decided to award the prize in its 2021 edition to ** Dr. Nuria Oliver **. She has developed fundamental scientific-technological contributions in Artificial Intelligence methods to model human behavior from large data sources. She has been a pioneer in the use of dynamic graphic models to recognize human interactions, with application to health and wellness systems among other areas. In her professional career, social impact projects stand out in which data science and artificial intelligence are the key technology. She is an example of intrapreneurship within a multinational company, with 41 patents and numerous technologies applied in our environment. In the current covid-19 health crisis, Dr. Oliver leads an expert group in highly accurate computational epidemiological models to recommend interventions that contain the spread of the virus at minimal cost. A sample of her social commitment by putting avant-garde technology at the service of a great health crisis.
