ELLIS Alicante participates in the XIP project about achieving transparency in the third sector of the Valencian Community

• ELLIS Alicante joins an initiative to promote regulatory compliance in non-profit entities promoted by the Nova Feina Foundation and the Spanish Association of Foundations (AEF).
• The project is financed by the Regional Ministry of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality of the Generalitat Valenciana.

ELLIS Alicante has joined the XIP (Xarxa Inclusió i Participació - Network of inclusion and participation) project, whose objective is to guide and support non-profit entities in the Valencian Community in regulatory compliance and transparency. ELLIS Alicante, which carries out research in Artificial Intelligence for social good, aspires with this project to test and improve an ethical model of conduct applied both to its scientific work and to the good governance of the foundation.

Four foundations and three associations from the Valencian Community participate in this collaborative initiative. They will undergo an assessment process of their current state of compliance with regards to regulatory transparency obligations and will be provided with personalized guidance for improvement. The criteria applied will comply with the indicators dictated by new regional law¹ as well as national legislation and will also incorporate the recommendations of the AEF.

At the end of this project ELLIS Alicante will make public its Code of Ethics and Good Governance on the transparency portal of its website.

The XIP project has been launched by the Nova Feina Foundation and the Spanish Association of Foundations and has the support of the General Foundation of the University of Valencia. It is funded by the Ministry of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality of the Generalitat Valenciana.
