Code of Conduct - HCML Reading Group
1. Expected Behavior
- Be active, authentic, and participative. Try to contribute with new paper proposals, and express your opinion at the moment of voting. Feel free to express new ideas/suggestions to the chair members regarding both the topics and the logistics. Participation is fundamental to ensure the longevity and success of this reading group.
- Be considerate of other people’s opinions, and refrain from discriminatory, harassing or offensive behavior which will not be tolerated under any circumstance.
- Foster exchange of ideas in a collaborative way.
2. Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior includes intimidating other members, harassing them, or committing abusive acts against others. Any type of discrimination, derogation or humiliation is strongly condemned by the chairs of this reading group during all related events and one-on-one communications.
Anyone asked to stop such behavior should comply immediately. If the unacceptable behavior persists, the chairs will expel the participant from the reading group.
If you are a victim or a witness, kindly notify the chairs of the reading group, who will take immediate action to stop this.
3. Addressing Complaints
If you have any type of complaint (including the feeling of having been falsely accused of violating the Code of Conduct), please notify the chairs of the reading group.
