Cristina Cabrero
Associate Scientist
Prof. Cristina Cabrero is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Languages and Systems at the University of Alicante (Spain). Her main research area is empirical software engineering, with a particular focus on the evaluation of notations, methods, tools, and AI-assisted paradigms, as well as on human-related variables—such as cognitive abilities, personality, experience, and attitudes toward artificial intelligence – and their impact on developers’ performance, learning, and intention to adopt different technologies during software development.
She has held visiting researcher positions at Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Ghent University (Belgium), Université de Montréal (Canada), and Universidad de La Frontera (Chile). She is co-author of numerous publications in leading international journals, including IEEE Multimedia, Journal of Systems and Software, Journal of Web Engineering, Empirical Software Engineering, Information and Software Technology, and International Journal of Intelligent Systems, among others. She has also published extensively in top-tier international conferences in her field, such as DEXA, WISE, ER, EC-Web, ICWE, and CAiSE.
